Deadlines Drive the Legislative Process

Policy committees have been meeting nonstop during the month of April here at the State Capitol. The policy committee deadline is coming up at the end of April, and then the fiscal committee deadline comes up in mid-May, and then the house of origin deadline comes up at the end of May. Everything here at the State Capitol is deadline driven when it comes to legislation. You really need a seasoned lobbyist on the ground who knows the members of the committees and how to get bills positioned for success or for being stopped. A halfhearted effort will not be successful in this game. You need professionals representing you.
